We took the girls to the Circus for the first time today. In fact, it was my first time to the Circus! The girls were so excited to go and couldn’t stop talking about it until we finally left our house. We went about an hour early to see the elephants, horses, tigers, and zebras before the show began. We even spent 20 minutes on the Circus floor watching the “pre-show” with clowns, dog tricks, acrobats, and an elephant who could paint. The girls were getting pretty excited as we walked back to our seats for the show to begin.

“Morgan, are you excited for the Circus” my wife asked.

To which she replied, “What Circus mom?”

When my daughter accidentally hit her head against the wall, I asked her what she needed to make it feel better. Since we were just about to walk out the door to go to the Circus, I said, “I know! The circus will make it feel better.” But she said, “No, popcorn will make it feel better!”

At dinner tonight, Kendall turned to me and said:

“No dad, you’re big and I’m cute!”

I’ve never heard anything so true.
